The Enchantment of the Beauty of Grojogan Sewu Waterfall

The Enchantment of the Beauty of Grojogan Sewu Waterfall
Grojogan Sewu Waterfall is one of the waterfalls and also part of the Grojogan Sewu Tourism forest which is located on the slopes of Mount Lawu about 27 km east of Karanganyar City, Central Java. Grojogan Sewu Tawangmangu offers natural beauty that is so enchanting with the outpouring of waterfalls that are not centered on one point but spread in various directions.

Grojogan Sewu means a thousand waterfalls. Although the waterfall here does not amount to a thousand, there are several waterfall points that can be enjoyed here. The word sewu or thousand here comes from a thousand cracks, or the unit of distance used at that time, which is the height of the waterfall. One pecak equals one adult foot. The highest waterfall is about 80 meters high. There is also a waterfall that is not too high but the shower extends and forms branches. When it's the rainy season, around the cliffs will be bombarded with waterfalls, but during the summer, many waterfalls are dry.

Grojogan Sewu Tourism Forest has an area of 20 hectares. This forest area is overgrown with various types of forest trees and is inhabited by a group of tame monkeys. Some of the facilities of this tourism forest are the Forest Animal Park, swimming pool, resting area, food stalls, fruit and souvenir stalls, prayer room, and toilets.
